We assisted with UI development and design production for a project leading up to the release of "Engage Cros," a marketing automation tool that integrates multiple existing services provided by EmberPoint Inc.
Our first priority when designing was to create a UI that anyone could use intuitively.
Introducing Engage Cros
Engage Cros is a low-cost MA tool that anyone can use without specialized knowledge, equipped with the same distribution engine as "Mail Publisher," an email distribution system with full security that is used by many major companies, financial institutions, and local governments. Complex measures can be implemented with simple operations.

About UI development
Many conventional MA tools are professional-grade, and the complexity of operation is an issue when implementing them. We held multiple meetings with the client and the development team to consider the screen layout and created a design that can be used with as few intuitive operations as possible. We also helped formulate function specifications as needed to organize the UI.
The core of the screen design is simple operability, complete with just drag and drop. We created a layout that reduces unnecessary clicks and complicated procedures, allowing information to be grasped intuitively. We created a prototype and spent a lot of time verifying it in advance.
Creating a style guide
A style guide is one of the most important documents in application development.
Web applications release new features in phases, and as the phases progress, there are more and more cases where the design varies and deviates from the initial rules. Furthermore, requests from customers and the operations team who use the service must be constantly addressed. Creating a style guide is essential to support rapid implementation.
A style guide is created through a variety of processes, including identifying design elements, defining color codes and typography based on existing design screens and specifications, and establishing rules for line spacing and white space.
In application development, development sometimes begins before the design is created depending on the release schedule. We created an environment where the development team could proceed with implementation while referring to the style guide.
Components such as buttons, forms, modal windows, etc. are modularized. By designing highly versatile parts that anticipate a variety of usage scenarios and providing detailed guidelines regarding the margins and placement of each part, we ensure consistency is maintained even when a design flow does not occur.
This significantly reduced the burden of rework and confirmation work, and eliminated misunderstandings about the design between people within and outside the team. By defining the design using universally usable parts, it has been highly praised as an asset that can be used long-term even after the project is completed.
