About UI Development
Traditional marketing automation tools are often designed for professional users, and "operational complexity" has become a challenge during implementation. Through repeated meetings with clients and development teams, we examined screen layouts and created designs that allow for the most intuitive operation possible. We also refined the UI by participating in feature specification when necessary.
At the core of screen design is simple operability achieved through drag-and-drop alone. We reduced unnecessary clicks and complex procedures, building layouts that allow information to be grasped intuitively. We created prototypes and conducted thorough validation with considerable upfront effort.
Creating a Design System
In application development, a design system is one of the critical documents.
Web applications release new features in phases, and as development progresses, design inconsistencies and deviations from initial rules become more frequent. Additionally, we must continually respond to requests from customers and operations teams using the service. Creating a design system is essential to support rapid implementation.
A design system is created through various tasks: identifying design elements, defining color codes and typography based on existing design screens and specifications, and establishing rules for line spacing and whitespace.
In application development, development sometimes begins before design is completed, depending on the release schedule. We created an environment where the development team can proceed with implementation while referencing the design system.
We modularized components such as buttons, forms, and modal windows. We designed highly versatile parts anticipating various use cases, and included detailed guidelines for spacing and placement of each part, ensuring consistency is maintained even when design flow is not available.
We significantly reduced the burden of rework and review processes while resolving design misunderstandings within and outside the team. By defining components using universally applicable parts, we have received high praise as a long-term asset that can be utilized even after the project ends.
